I wanted to know whether Windows 7 Support the "ATA" option of the SATA Mode Configuration of BIOS

  1. Yes it does. I use an older (P)ATA CD/DVD drive in my system.
  2. When I selected the ATA option , I am not able to boot the lab. I am not able to get the error message also, coz, i gets disappear in a moment. Any body have any idea?

  4. Do you mean windows is blue screening and rebooting before you can read the message? You need to change the setting for restart on blue screen.

    Control Panel > System And Maintenance > System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced tab > Under Startup And Recovery > Click Settings > Clear the Automatically Restart check box > click OK.

    Other than that, not sure why you can't run in IDE mode, unless your motherboard has some kind of restriction.
