Hi,
we have set up an unattended installation for our Windows computers.
Our problem is: when we reinstall a machine without deleting the
computer account from the domain we can no longer join the newly
installed computer unless we use a domain administrator password.
I know the user right "add workstation to domain" can be granted for
selected users but that only works if the workstation using that name
was not present in the domain at the beginning, e.g. it can only add but
not reset the computer account.
So my question: what can I do to give some user the right to add AND
reset the computer account in a domain without giving it domain
administrator privileges?
Regards,
~jm

You've answered your own question.. You can't do anything
except specify a domain admin account.
