Clients if inactive (computers are on, and users logged in) for a
while, connections to dc are broken and users can't acess shares on dc
untill they reboot... or administrator password must be used

Hi,

Do you mind being a bit more specific as to exactly what
error the clients receive and what exactly they are doing
when they get the error?

when clients log on, everything is fine
if clients don't access file server for some time 'disconnected network
drive' appears on all maps in windows explorer
at that moment if clients try to acces those maps, error message that
appears is 'network drive is unavaliable'
but when on those same clients i try to access the file server by
typing its name or ip in the addressbar
\\fileserver1
then login dialog appears and thet clients username and password isn't
working (if i try then errormessage 'entered username was allready
tryed and failed' appears)
but when i type administrator and administrators password, i can login

how to solve this?

the company used to have linux file servers and i forced ms file
servers so it will look bad if this problem isn't solved

You have 1 single DC? Have you checked the system
log of the event viewer on your DC to see if there are
any related errors?

there are no errors in any log.

On the network there are two DC-s
FS1 is dc and fs and has dhcp, dns and wins services running on it

DC2 is backup DC only (in case the main DC fails so that i do not loose
the domain configuration)

there are no errors on eather of the DC-s
the error message the user recives when trying to connect is : DC
cannot be found to verify that username.

How can this be if the the same computer is the DC and FS?
