Hi,
Here is my dilemma:
Windows NT4 SP6a Network has a PDC and 3 BDCs. Suddenly, browsing through
Network Neighborhood was impossible. Still all mapped drives and My Network
places from XP clients are accessable. In the event log of all BDCs I am
getting:

Event ID: 8021 - The browser was unable to retrieve a list of servers from
the browser master \\SERVER on the network \Device\NetBT_EMPCI2. The data is
the error code

Followed by:

Event ID: 8032 - The browser service has failed to retrieve the backup list
too many times on transport \Device\NetBT_EMPCI2. The backup browser is
stopping

If I restart the PDC, the browsing is available for several hours and again
the same prcess of 8021 8032 events.

The system is not multihomed (Q135404).

I promoted one of the BDCs to be PDC - Same problem.

Please HELP.

I would start by deleteing the netlogon.chg files on each
BDC and rebooting. You have to boot into dos in order
to do this.

If that doesn't work the only manual fix without
calling MS is to use a dos boot disk on the
problem BDCs and delete the SAM.
