OK,

I'm trying to setup a VPN connection between my home
computer and my work network, using my DSL connection. I
have the same Linksys DSL router on both ends. At home I
only have the one computer connected, it's running
Windows XP Pro. At work I have several computers running
from the router including a server, which is the unit I
want to connect to. The user computers at work run
Windows XP Pro and the server is Windows NT 4.0 Server
(please no lectures, we hope to soon upgrade). I have
the two linksys routers connected, but when I try to
create a network connection from my home unit to the
server I get and Error 800: Unable to establish the VPN
connection. The VPN server may be unreachable or
security parameters may not be configured properly for
this connection.

I want to connect to the Windows NT server so that I can
access the data I need. I hope somebody can help me with
this, I'm a little on the novice side of this, as I've
only read about doing this until now.

Thank You

what are the "tunnel" settings on the linksys units? Do
you have the external, or public IP addresses correct? If
they start with 192.168, those are not right.
