Today our NT server blue screened and came up with this error:

Kerna_Stuck_Inpage_Error 0x000000103

We rebooted the server and its up and running but we were wondering what this error is and anyway to provent this from happening again if possible.

You must mean "Kernal Stack Inpage Error". As for the specific cause, I couldn't locate anything on that specific error number. Have you installed any additional memory recently, or upgraded part of the operating system (for example, Internet Explorer, or any one of the myriad of NT patches and service packs?).

I ask because the term "Kernal" refers to the core code of the operating system, which can be affected (and is sometimes modified) by hotfixes, patches, service packs and certain other updates.

The term "Stack" refers to a special section of memory used to keep up with internal procedure calls and return addresses, and to temporarily store working data. A faulty memory chip could corrupt the stack, resulting in this or other stack errors.
