IE6 problems

I had to re-install a NT 4 server box. After installing the inital OS I jumped straight to SP6a. Everything but IE seems to be working. I'm running IE6sp1 and everytime I try to open and surf it flashes the IE splash screen and then just opens a window showing Desktop items??????? I've tried re-installing IE6 and running a repair and still does the same thing. Please help. Thanks.

Ask them in one of the IE groups.
