help 6600 256mbor 6600 GT 128mb??

I am a little confused as to which one is the better card especially for FPS. In the 6600 overview on here they say go with the GT even though its 128. Then on the build a machine for 500 bucks they say go with the plain 6600 but with 256 because you need the memory???

GT's Frequency is significantly higher than Standard version's....
so does the performance~
