All, I am trying to repair a notebook for a friend and I am looking for a way to easily verify/test all of the various major components (motherboard, cpu, memory, video card)

The system is a 1.7ghz Pentium 4-M, Intel 845 Chipset with a Socket 478 PPGA/FCPGA2 CPU socket. For memory it uses 512MB PC2100 SODIMMS.

It also has a mirco agp slot (not sure if this is the right name) for a Nvidia GeForce 4400 To Go card.

My guess is that I have a bad motherboard and a bad video card.

Are there any desktop boards out there that will accept laptop parts like the memory and micro agp card? Are there any kinds of adapters?

Are there any generic notebook boards that might be easy to test the components with?

Thanks for any advice!
