Too bad. We need one of those instant on Intel space heaters, It gets cold up here in Canada, this time of year.

Reply to endyen

No kidding endyen. I live in the mountains and it cold. A intel Presscott would do nicely to heat the house.

Typical day for Intel prescott users ..

Wake up tired.. bad slepping night
Start its computer.. don't need to check temp... the alarm start to sound..
check cooler..running
check heatsink... well seated
change thermal paste... maybe that will fix.
start the computer... alarm still sound
disable alarm in BIOS
boot windows.. crash
remove side panel
finally boot windows
check temp ...65.. well sensor must be wrong
Check on internet
check email
Play UT.. frame rate low..
computer feeling sluggish
computer crash
Attempt to reboot. no go
wait a while for the computer to cool down
Finally booting complete
Download throttle watch
Start a word processing apps.
check throttle watch..ok
start a game
check throttle watch
Not good, throttling occur and P4 prescott running like a celeron ..
Anyway, since a celeron is good enough for simple office work, keep working
Stop work to activate AC
stop work to remove some cloth
stop work to remove some more cloth
stop work to put AC at full capacity
no more cloth to remove..
Go out and leave the room to cool down
Come back 2 hours later.. forgot to shut down computer... room no cool
MAD
ANGRY
Finally go out buying third party cooling solution
Don't fit on board...
ANGRY
still havent got the time to eat ..
bad headache.. cause by dehydratation..
Take some medicine..
finnaly drink and eat something
Go back to the computer.
Call for help on forum
Had good advice from Mozz.. he knows Intel stuff
AMD meltdown don't show up, because it is Intel trouble, and it can be.. probably user error..
room strating to heat up ..
read on low temp on AMD A64 CPU
AMDmeltdown show up feeling the need to put back AMD trolls at their place
Room still heating up
damn computer crash..
wait to reboot.. still too hot
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
Finally, got ok to boot
Look at Newegg for liquid cooling
finnaly go with a simpler AMD solution, order it and go to bed
not able to sleep.. still to het in the room.....

Ahhhhhhh. I was long due for some trolling... feel better now.

It's too long, not as funny as Melty's list.

Talent and experience is always necessary, even for being a perfect troll

You forgot to mention accuracy. A troll should never be that close to the truth.
Points to meltie for inovation as well.
Nice try Pat, I did enjoy it, but for pure funny, meltie wins.

Well, it seems that I still ahve some work to do in order to become a good troll.. Ok.. I'll try again.

Basic Daily Rituals for the Typical Intel User:

Wake up
start the computer, then go to the bathroom
start cooking breakfast
eat breakfast
take a coffe to the computer
wait a while for the computer to finish booting
Check temp, 58
Register a cool nam, like AMDMeltdown
go in forum, hunting AMD troll
praise his intel, blaming motherboard temps sensor thou.
start playing a game, but could not finish it.. too sluggish
blame the game ...
hunt AMD user to show them the right way
Praise Intel
check temp.
25 BIOS update and the sensor still report temp too high..
blame BIOS programmer..
look at him self in the mirror
Praise him..

Damn.. I messed up again.. too long and accurate

It's worse than the previous one :(

But don't stop trying, I wish your success ;)

i'd have to agree this is too good to be stopped, you get my 120% vote for keep on coming (someone make a stickey outta this plz lol)

Reply to theholylancer

this will be my first winter with my AMD

the Intel prescott i had before definately helped keep my room warm I shit you not. it made a room temp difference of about 3 celcius

i don't think the Athlon will do that for my room this summer. right now it's only at 32c. i doubt it'll provide enough heat to my room to change anything

in fact. i'd imagine my idle temps will drop a LOT this winter. will i hit the < 30 mark?

Reply to mpasternak

I never once checked temps in either of the AMD systems I owned.

Besides, right now, you could substitute Intel for AMD in your little diatribe and it would actually be 100% accurate.

BTW, clown, there is one Intel guy that have heat problem with his computer, If you're that smart, why not help him and prove your point that Intel do not overheat???

But you're such a moron yourself, and you rather keep proving it to everybody ..

I doubt that you can even help him... not smart enough for that ...

But keep posting .. it was long time since the last troll... happy to have one back.. and one of the greatest!!!

this guy has heat problem with Intel

Ok.. you one time, make me laugh (..well.. ok) so here is another one that I think should be better ..

Wake up sweating..
go back to bed, it was the temp alarm on the computer, the alarm from the clock
wake up again, sweating more
Check for encoding job (yeah, Intel is better for encoding job...)
Almost done.. CPU rinning at 40% speed du to throttling
go to work
go in forum on the internet
praise Intel for encoding
go back home.
Check job.
No progress.. computer freezed, work not saved, work lost forever
go to bed, blaming software

Let see..

Wake up in the morning..

go to internet, praise Intel
turn up heater in the house.. those prescott are so cool!!
praise intel over the phone
Put more cloths.. they are really cool processor.
Afetr hours of crunching and gaming.. computer freeze..

End, I was never an Intel "fanboi". I've owned Intel systems... and in the PII days, they were the better choice. I currently own an Intel system... but that will only be until I have enough money together to upgrade to an AMD64. Hell, even when my fan melted off my Athlon 1GHz... I stuck with AMD for my next upgrade because it was clear they were the better performer.

If anything, I'm a performance fanboi.

You forgot checking the forums to mock you meltdown.

::still cant believe that he is up to this crap still!::

especially since intel has had the heat crown for what, 2 years now?

Reply to Matisaro

I see, so being a troll is not something you learn.. it is something that you're born with ..
So, no matter how hard I try, I won't be able to do better than AMDMeltdown..

Reply to pat
- 0 +

That's not quite it either. See meltie comes here to try to pi$$ people off. That is the most important part of being a troll. If you started posting crap that you knew was untrue, just to annoy us, most people here would just laugh, and say you were kidding around. Now if you were to go to OCworkbench say, and start spewing Intel line, and telling anyone that disagreed that they were idiot amd fanboys, that would make you a troll.
Sorry to get so serious, I prefer the "just for fun" posts we had earlier, but some newb might read this, so I have to respond properly.
There is another option, which might be more fun. We could find out where a bunch of guys like lt commander data hang out, and blitz the place with Amd propaganda. Of course if a place like that existed, it would probably already be overrun with true trolls, but, oh well.
Maybe a little more practice here would help. Give it another try.

Reply to endyen

Ok, I'll try to do one of myself instead of keeping Meltie's concept..

Typical Intel Internet session..

start the computer
wait to finish booting
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
finnaly booted
start browser
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
browser started
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
forgot why he'd want to go on the Internet
anyway, goes on forum to praise Intel
Ask why his computer seem to be sluggish
Read about AMD cool 'n quiet
Think AMD is retard because his Intel don't need drivers to do that
Throttle watch confirm that Intel CPU do slow down too..
Praise intel some more..
Think about doing something usefull
Start a game
computer crash.
Blame video drivers..

Lets go over a typical day for AmdMeltdown

His mommy comes in his room and wakes him up
He gets up out of bed.
Turns on his computer, the one with all the "Intel RULZ A11" AMD GO7 PWN3d" stickers on it.
Sits thier trying to find any good news about Intel processors
Can't find any.
Go's to TGForumz.
Creates a Topic about a "typical 8-12 day for an AMD user" because he has no life.
He takes a shower after his mommy told him 4-5 times to get in.
He then goes back to the forumz and sits there all day creating flamebait as he's eating a big bag of nacho's and crispy cream donuts. :)

P.S. I'm not meaning to be rude, just funny! :)
