I have a PC that is running Windows NT Workstation at work and the PC is taking forever to load Microsoft Word from the local PC and opening files from a network share.
It usually takes 1-2 minutes to open a file!

The network connectivity is fine in general.
Any ideas to speed up the opening of the application?

Thanks

The delay in opening Word is likely to be related to either insufficient
physical RAM, improperly configured pagefile, and/or badly fradmented
word.exe, MFT and/or pagefile.

The delay in opening documents could be due to any of the previous
reasons and/or incorrect duplex setting on the NIC card of the PC.
