System crashes after installing R9500 drivers

Hi there,

I've got a problem with my video card. After updating to my new VT7 motherboard and installing Radeon 9500 on it, the system starts, and when I open any window in the Explorer - hangs after several seconds.
I have formatted the harddrive after installing my new motherboard, installed the Via drivers, and then the Ati's. The R9500 worked on my old motherboard smoothly with the same drivers.


I've tried changing the drivers, the agp voltage, the aperture size - no effect. My MB BIOS is up to date.


Specs

Cpu : P4 Northwood 2.8 GHz

MB : Abit VT7 Via 880

Radeon 9500 64Mb

Geil 2x256 MB 400Mhz

WinXP Prof, no service packs

drivers - catalyst 5.11, omega 2.6.75a (not at one time, of course)

...The prob definitely lies within the board n whos the radeon manufacturer?
better check for compatability between board n card..
