Pathetic.... truly pathetic

Has anyone checked out http://sharikou.blogspot.com/ lately? It's rather laughable of late. He' got amateurish "joke" transcripts up on his site detailing what he wishes was happening in an environment that he seems totally out of touch with. He's also going on about how good AM2 and how it's going to rule the world and eat the first born child of every Intel employee as well as eliminating world hunger when if the all of the benchmarks and tests done on Conroe so far indicate that it will be nothing short of earth shattering and will take the performance crown back comfortably from AMD who have held the performance crown for a fair while now.

P.S Why is it when I try to post a comment on his site pointing out an error or a shortcoming in one of his stories (They're not factual enough to be close to being called an article) he doesn't publish it and prefers to publish the comments of those who profess their willingness to take his hand in marriage.

Couldn't care less about that.

Why even bother to let anyone know about it ? There's enough Extremism in the world now of all types, that's NOT why I come to this Forum.

Talk about blast from the past! It's not Sharikou. It's Shakira.... and I predict you'll BK within 3 seconds.

Where to start... I think I'll start when I was teaching at a computer college last year - Not that that makes me an über-guru or anything like that - and one of my students cited references in Sharikou's blog supporting her argument in favour of AMD. I might add that this was the first time I'd ever heard of Conroe.

So I followed the references in her assignment, and just to start off with, the way the bugger writes his little fairy-tales clearly shows his utter refusal to admit that Intel can surpass AMD - but he's proclaiming the superiority of AMD around every corner, ridicule or no. You almost have to admire such dedication in the face of adversity, until you realise that it is blatant fanaticism. This is the same kind of scum that'll fly a Boeing into a building, for an ideal.

Anyway. Trying to be dispassionate here. I read these 'articles', found almost no supporting references in said articles, and discovered that the sod only publishes comments showing him and/or AMD in a favourable light.

Taking it further, I followed another of this student's references (Tom's Hardware Guide, of all places) and - surprise! - here's Sharikou again, on the forumz, making itself a damn nuisance. Then things got interesting.

I baled onto the Intel and AMD sites, then onto a whole bunch of other (notably independent) sources for tech news relating to the CPU wars (which I actually stopped following in 2001, when I finished school), and discovered that - on paper - Intel's Conroe could maybe overtake AMD's best.

When it was released, it did. AMD had lost the performance crown, most people agreed on this, and here this idiot blathering on about AMD this and AMD that and Intel sucks...

So. One particular bit out of said fanatic's blog I particularly remember was when he was blathering on about two PCs side-by-side in a shop, one with a Conroe chip and one with the current AMD big boy. He wiggled the mouse and played around on both, and noted a marked delay on things like right-click menus on the Core2. Based on this and this alone was a blog entry resembling a rant about how pathetically lousy the Conroe was blah blah blah *vomits*.

I had just one question about that blog entry, which I'd posted on the blog (with my email address I might add) and which - somehow - never got published or even answered. That question ran as follows: 'Hi, I'd just like to know one thing, how is it that a PC shop is selling Conroe-based systems when the thing is only due for release in a month's time? Either post your answer on your blog, or drop me a line at mugz@(email address). Thank you.' Never got an answer.

Sharikou isn't a fanboy, I agree. You're a total idiot if you think that he is a genius, though. Sharikou simply analyzes the information he makes up and presents illogical conclusions. There is no fanboyism in that, only delusion, rabid fanaticism, and idiocy. Get a grip.

Oh, and someone who believes what this zealot writes is either blind, stupid, or both.
