After following Mrs Bowmans instructions how do i know go about adding
another PC using a wireless USB adapter instead of a networking card Can i do
this or am i SOL?

Your info is too cryptic, you might consider giving more information.
I would try to guess.
You connected two computer with Wireless and you would like to add one more
Wireless computer?
Ad-Hoc works well with two computers, if you would like to add more
Wireless Computers (depending on how your Network and Internet are set) you
have to get a Wireless Cable/DSL Router or an Access Point.
The whole thing should look like this:
