Anyone trying to build a 64 bit computer will no doubt relate to the frustration of trying to find drivers and hardware to work. I bought a Microsoft Keyboard and mouse combo that had no drivers and wound up using a Labtec. A Creative Web Cam that the driver release date has been pushed back again. And has anyone noticed that you can't find a laptop with a 64 Bit Processor that comes with XP 64, they all seen to come with XP 32 bit home or pro.
The Industry has known about XP 64 and AMD 64 for a long time and XP 64 was out in beta almost 3 years ago.
How does the industry expect vendors to buy and sell new hardware when the industry does not properly support it.

Hardware as in CPU is simple, future proof and runs current 32 bit code fast and efficient. Software is not yet available as an O/S for sale, and thus drivers are not a priority for companies to put forth their buggy drivers since it might cut down sales if performance is not up to what the buyers think they should be.
I expect this to change rapidly once the OS is ready for primetime...
