That cooler doesn't seem any better than the OEM stock cooler, and stock might be even better for cooling. Might either go with the boxed CPU or get a higher end cooler if needed.

Not a huge fan of that mobo or case/psu. The rest looks good.

Alternate choices:
Mobo: Chaintech VNF4 Ultra or Epox 9NPA+ Ultra
Case: Super-Flower SF-201T
PSU: Enermax 535W Whisper II model EG565P or a less robust/expensive option is the
FSP 450W. Only go for the 450W if you really can't afford the Enermax - that is a great deal for the Enermax.

can i get any suggestions on this system im building. thanks

1) Case/Power supply sucks....I wouldnt go with anything less than a 550watt psu of good quality (ie...enermax, ocz etc..)

2) I wouldnt go with any lower than a 3500+ processor

3) Motherboard is terrible as already mentioned...go with the DFI, EPOX or Chaintech mobo anyday over that one

Agree with you on that one - and it's only needed if he wants to OC quietly...

Why the SLI board with an ATI video card? If you're not going to do SLI right away (and only with top end video cards at that), save money and get the non-SLI board.
