We recently starting adding XP machines to our network,
which is setup as a large workgroup. No one is
authenticating to a server when they log in, just the
local machine itself. Our support team is still using NT
4.0 workstations. When we try to connect to the admin
share of an XP workstation (\\juan-xp\c$, for example) we
are prompted for the password. Even if I use accounts
that I know for sure are on the XP machine, it will not
let us in.

Any thoughts on what we need to do to make it work?

Thanks in advance.

Are those accounts members of the local
"administrators" group?
