Hey there, it's christmas time and my gf has said she wants to get me a new graphics card for the holidays as I've had mine for awhile. She says she'll have around $150-$175 (no more) to spend so that'll keep me away from the big boy toys out there, but might still get me a nice upgrade. I currently have a Sapphire 9600xt 128mb (Fireblade Edition). I know that my Antec 350w PSU will need to be upgraded as well, so let me know (if possible) what PSU power is needed for any cards you recommend. Thanks in advance for any who help.

The 6600GT would be a good upgrade card for you.

X800GTO's are much better, and in the same price range.

The 6800GS would be even better, but they're a little more than your price range allows for.

I have the same kind of problem, I have a Abit FX5900 OTES (Yes, very important to mention the OTES :) ), And I'd also like a new AGP card before i upgrade in about one year..

Ofcourse, it's not that simple, cos i live in Finland, and all of those cards cost a fortune here.. (X800XL for 330€..) So, I'm basically looking at the X800GT or GTO for 180-200 €.. I am willing to try to flash the cards, and OCthem.. But what would my best bet be, taking into account that I have a 400W Zalman PSU, thats powering 4HDDs, 1DVD, a 2800+ Barton and my FX5900. I wouldn't like to buy a new PSU atm, cos I just haven't got the cash...

So, suggestions?

What value? :D Ofcourse I could try to sell it online... maybe i'd get 50€ for it. Too bad I haven't seen one single AGP X800 GTO around.. Sounds promising.
