Has anyone seen this before ?

I have an iPAQ 2210 running PPC2003, which I'm using with bluetooth to
a Nokia 6310i & GPRS.

All the wireless stuff is working fine; I can link the iPAQ to the
'phone & raise a GPRS call succesfully. I have a ping utility on the
iPAQ. If I use it to ping (say) google.com, it first resolves to an IP
address & then returns a ping response.

However, IE still responds with "The page you are looking for cannot
be displayed". So, it seems that IE cannot "see" the connection.

The only relevant config option I can see is under Connections /
Advanced / Select Networks, where you define "programs that
automatically connect to the network should connect using..", which I
have set correctly.

That said, if I go into IE with no active connections & select a page,
it doesn't try to raise a GPRS call. In tests, I've raised the call
manually by tapping the connectivity icon on the top line, near the
sound icon.

There are other remote access functions that are working fine - eg
dial-up to private network for POP3 access to mailserver.

Have tried soft reset (several times)
Now completely stumped

Sometimes it happends. But there is a way to fix it. Just locate and run
file welcome.exe stored in Main Memory Windows folder. It may sound strange
but when you will go thru this instructions on using Pocket PC OS your
browser should open web pages :)

It is said that it recreates some network settings which sometimes may get
lost

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
