ive heard something about getting ram with lower latency is important for pc game playing, is that true. right now i have a stick of pc3200 crusial ram and one stick of pc3200 corsair extreem( and yes it was a pain in the butt to get them to work together, and i do deal with issues, but uping ram voltage helps) . i wonder if i should kick the crusial out all together and get another stick of corsair. if not, and advise on noexpensive ram with good latency. Also would it help my gaming if i got a hardrive that was a SATA hardive instead of the IDE hardrive i have running(80g). thanks guys.

I swear by it, and I have 2gigs Corsair TwinXL Pro 2-2-2-5 running at 209mhz as high as I have tried it, but will crank up to 220 at that low a timing. Look for the ones with the Samsung TCCD chips, and you should be good to go.
But Patriot makes same timing RAM, so does Crucial Ballistix and OCZ and a couple of others...
FPS might only be a few FPS, but load and boot times are greatly affected.
