60MB/s read and write speeds?
I think my Seagate drive does 47-50MB/s?
Is 60MB/s a much better improvement, since iv'e been considering a raptor.

Last I checked they carry much more than a 30% premium... Albeit tho, I still dig 'em!

XMAS rig, I do declare to have two RAID 0 - 74gig RAPTORS, along with 2-300 gig MAXTOR 16mb RAID 1 for data/storage!
rest of the specs being run of the mil 4400 X2, ATI X1800XT, 2 gigs Corsair TwinX XL PRO, Plextor 716SA slot load DVD, Antec TruePower 550watt just purchased for $75!

I don't plan on CF or SLI really, just can't bear the cost of two high end GPU's, but you never know.
I like the X800XT-PE agp card I have, and have been eying the X1800XT and thinks it is the better choice. ATI has done good by me the past couple of years, after getting disgruntled with some old nVidia crap cards of a few more years back.
But really, whether you go AMD/Intel or ATI/nVidia or not, as long as you are aware and informed about each at time of purchase, you won't be displeased. My Prescott 3200 and X800XT-PE still rocks for me, and if it wasn't for the need of another PC, I would hang on 6 to 12 more months for an upgrade...
