First off, I'll just note that I have already searched the
knowledgenet for information. I wouldn't be posting this
if I haven't.
Anyways, I'm currently "interning" for a software company
in Vancouver, and the network admin has brought up a
problem such as this for the network's BDC.
Basically, she gave me an image file showing all the error
windows that pop up for her when she logs into the BDC,
all of them read "Initialization of the dynamic link
library c:\WINNT\system32\USER32.dll failed. The process
is terminating abnormally." Every process that is
starting up at logon recieves this error, INCLUDING
EXPLORER.EXE.
I've already searched through the knowledgenet for
answers, but most solutions either involve systems that
have upgraded to NT4, (the BDC was freshly installed) or
involve the desktop heap. (Which 1. has already been tried
and failed and 2. Is more for services than it is for
processes.)
Anyways, I'm pretty much out of ideas on how to solve
this. Is there any other possible way? (Note: I'm
assuming that the network admins want to try to avoid
reformatting the server.)
