I am getting a new pc

amd 64 4000
asus a8r mvp
radeon x850 xt pe (probly)
i guess thats about all that could matter

so i want a gig of ram i think my board will only suppor ddr400 but i dont know what brand etc. i was going to just get like generic or somthing like that but then i thought i might want better quality. so do you think more expensive ram will better my gaming performance. and eitherway what brand do you think i should get?

edit: right now this is what i think i want. kingsten value ram http://froogle.google.com/froogle_cluster?q=ddr400+1024&pid=4829187676307782629&oid=10756465065930568129&btnG=Search+Froogle&lmode=&addr=&scoring=p

hey there... i havn't used the kingston value ram but from what ive heard its not bad... i have 1 gig of Geil Value Ram (90 ish dollars) and plan to get another gig... its not too bad to tell you the truth... i mean, im sure the more expensive stuff will perform alot better... but you cant beat the price of value ram... check out the reviews @ newegg.com (my personal favorite E-store) and also check prices at zipzoomfly.com (sometimes cheaper and offer free second day shipping on almost everything.)

ok.... so aside from the joke... why shouldnt a person save a few bucks (quite a few that is) and buy value ram that works pretty good? I play games on my computer (not finished builing fully yet) with the value ram and it runs just fine... its my crap graphics card holding me down
