Hello, i'm looking to get a new computer (moniter not included) for $800-1000. I'm a noob when it comes to hardware and that is why i'm asking you guys for help and advice. I want my computer to be able to handle the game World of Warcraft on highest settings on atleast a 1024x768 resolution with no lag. Please help and give me a few options here. Thanks!

Alright, you are a n00b so no OCing

i am going tobed now....when i wake up i will post here if nobody else does.....Rugger shuld be around here somewhere and will help.

List anything you can reuse....monitor, keyboard, mouse, spakeakers, Hard drives, case anything.....Because if you need everything case, psu, mobo, cpu, ram, video card, windows XP and all that...it would be different then if you could save some money by reusing.

oops I didn't realise that I posted this in the OCing section.

Anyway, I plan on reusing my monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers.

Hmmm... Rough prices (too lazy to look up todays' price and make links)...

Chaintech VNF4 - $75
A64 3200+ - $150
1gig PC3200 - $100
6800GS - $200
250gb HDD - $100
400W Fortron/Antec/Enermax PSU - $75
some case - ??? (I'm into $20 cheapies, but its good to spend a little more for a good one with fans & stuff, so maybe $75)

That puts you just under 800 roughly, leaving enough for WinXP if you need it, or maybe upgrade your video to a 7800 or RAM to 2gig (I'd do video before ram though), and anything else Iv'e forgotten...

Mike.
