This is for a gaming system. They have the same speed (2.2 ghz), only the L2 cache is doubled on the second one.
Will the 3700+ OverClock any faster then the 3500+?
($22 dollar price difference)

They'll OC to about the same level (based on luck & skill of course) - so if you get 2.6ghz on each, the 3700 will perform a bit better because of the 1mb L2.

The difference is hardly significant for most uses. If you have the extra $22 and don't want to spend it for a better something else, get the 3700+. I have the 3500+ and love it, running at 2.5GHz very quiet and cool 26C idle 38C max with Thermalright XP90. Don't know its upper limit, and don't care right now.

I noticed a big diff when going from a 512K chip to a 1MEG one. I say pay the extra 22 bucks and then you'll never end up wondering what u missed.
