Ignoring the price difference, which of these two boards would be best for my P4C 2.8MHz Northwood (800MHz - HT)? .....and why?

Well some googling has informed me that the P4C800-E Dlx is based on the superor 875 (Canterwood) chipset, whereas the P4P800-E Dlx is based on the 865PE chipset (which is essentially an abbreviated 875).

So unless anyone differs from this conclusion, I'm going to go for the P4C800-E Dlx.

Photobug is spot on.... The 875 Canterwood should yield you beter results.
