2x512 or 2x1024mb is the only way to run dual channel memory, one stick only you get single channel, or half the bandwidth of dual-channel.

Yeah but which would make my games run better........two of 512 in dual channel or just a single stick of 1GB. My aim is not to run a dual channel but to be able to play my games better. Or will there not be any difference.

Thanks for the reply though.

**slaps forehead**
Running one 1gig stick in single channel mode will give you about a 10 to 15 percent lower performance than two 512mb sticks running in dual channel.

Buy 2 x 512mb sticks

or

Buy 2 x 1024 sticks

or

Buy 4 x 512mb sticks (lowest latency solution, BTW and route I chose using Corsair TwinX XL Pro 2-2-2-5 timings)

ONLY!
