HDTV in and out TV card ??

Basically the question is..does such a beast exist ? Id like to be able to plug an HDTV DirecTV receiver into PC, be able to record (in HDTV would be nice, but not completely necc) but even if not record HDTV, at least be able to throughput to a probable LCD HDTV in HD. Is there anything out there that can do this..? Also hate to say it but keep in mind i prob wont have an AGP slot available for this, just a PCIx. I understand that when i go out to TV i prob wont use the VGA input the LCD will have, because that drops it to analog, but many have DVI so that isnt a prob(so the card would need DVI out). Question is, are there any cards that even support this ? PS would this be called a Tuner card being there is no actual tuner in it..?
