okay im assuming your have the latest omega driver. They tend to give you the best results in my opion when it comes to games. i remember with my radeon 9800 pro i got about 1000 pts more on my 3dmark score after i installed the latest omega driver. Did you run 3dmark 05? if you did how did your score come with old card compared to what you got with new card. What was your old video card before to?

Why are you running two sound cards(audigy and onboard)? You need to disable the onboard audio in the bios.

You have 3 cli.exe processes that arent needed Clicky
The ati2evxx.exe processes dont need to be running.

Not sure how much disabling the processes will help, but disabling the onboard sound should.

So this is my first post on TG Forumz. I usually live over in my public Air Force IT guy forums or at MaximumPC forums. I just recenly came over to TechPowerUp and Tom's Hardware forums. I should point out that I have read THG since 2002.

Anyway, I too had a 9600xt and upgraded to a X800GTO (AGP version).

I did benchmark my system w/ 3Dmark05 when I had the 9600xt and now w/ the X800GTO.
Here are the Specs on my X800GTO
Overclocked w/ Stock Fan/Heat Sink
GPU by 37.5% (400 default / OCed to 550mhz)
RAM by 30% (490 default / OCed to 615mhz)

5500 3Dmark05 (Default Settings)
11385 3Dmark03 (Default Settings)
50fps in BF2SF at 1152x864 Highest Settings 6xAA
4752 3Dmark05 Maximum Quality 1024x768 4xAA 8xAF

In 3Dmark05 w/ my old 9600xt I was scoring around 2200, and in BF2 my fps was around 25.

Here are the results of both, notice the preformace is around 100% better. 8)

Hope this helps you. Also I just want to say that I did all of this before seeing your post and I am very happy to see that my research my actually help someone else.
Cheers!
