i just saw a link to CPU Z. so i downloaded it and checke d it out. it said my memory was running at 200mhz. I dont know exactly what my memory is. but at the time(like 4 years ago) i was assuming it was pc2700 333mhz. so did i get pissy memory or the wrong memory? also would bad memory make my computer just shut off instantly at seemingly random times.(i think it happens more at high memory use times, games etc.). i had like a chrash twice saying somthing about a memory dump.(twice in 4 years) so i think i might just have been sold bitch memory.
my spcs
amd athalon xp 3000 barton(wtf it is saying my fsb is 166! do i have some problems?)
msi ms-7021
all in wonder radeon 9600 xt
dont know about psu hard drive or dvdrw
ok in the memory spot its got
tpy ddr sdram size 512 bank interleave 4way freequency 200.1
fsb dram fsb+33 cas latency 2.5 ras to cas latency 3 ras precharge 3 cycle time(tras) 8

oh i think i just saw the awnser myself under spd
slot 1(i only have one stick) ddrsdram module size 512
max bandwith pc3200(200.2) manufacturer is just a bunch of 0

I think you may have.

RAM today is DDR meaning Double Data Rate. So, DDR400 RAM really runs at 200mhz. Same with your CPU - they say its a 333fsb, which really runs at 166mhz, but just like DDR RAM, is doubled.
