[citation][nom]abitoms[/nom]all the apus listed in the article are listed as a6. really?[/citation]
i assume those are typo-errors ....there is no A6-5800K ... 5800K is an A10 part.

I can't wait to see how the unlocked Trinity processors scale in performance relative to their clock speed. Hopefully they are released as stated and not later, we've had to wait long enough already.

[citation][nom]dyc4ha[/nom]Can the 7660D be crossfired? I remember reading somewhere that crossfire only works with certain cards, but I'm not sure.[/citation]
I believe it was all of the old gpus + some of the OEM HD 7xxx series that are not retail. I cannot recall which ones though(the HD series before 7750 which you cannot buy from a normal retailer)

I'm pleased that they decided to settle on a more coherent naming sequence this time round. The A4 will be a 5300 part, and every even x number is an unlocked model, it appears.

If that 7660 GPU is anything like the 6600 series in terms of performance, you've got one heck of a built in GPU. With the right price, these will be spectacular for budget builds.

I'll enjoy watching you trying to plop the i5 in a $400-$600 build. You would need a cardboard case, a very cheap motherboard, 1-2 GB of RAM and no dedicated GPU to fit the i5 in.

In short, you'll have a very unbalanced and terrible build if you're on a budget.

Yeah? Run that I5 2500k with it's integrated graphics against some of those Trinity APUs in an overall (cpu + igpu) gaming situation, then report back please. Your findings may not support your claim.

if you are talking about cpu performance then yeah thanks for stating the obv, but when it comes to gpu performance it would get crushed. So what's your point intel fanboy?
