I have a PC with AGP , no PCI-e. It is a Solteck E3401 so limited space as well. I need a card that only fills one slot.

I currently have an ATI 9600XT and I am looking a putting something in between £100 and £200

So far I am thinking of getting a

X800 GTO or X800 GTO2 but I cannot find any for AGP

Anyone seen any anywhere for sale or do I need to wait ?

I'm not an expert on the ATI line up, so I'll stick to nVidia's line up.

The fastest AGP card you can get is the 6800Ultra. But I'd recommend getting a 6800GT for £/performance.

What are your other PC specs? (CPU / RAM?)

Specs for PC

CPU = 3GHz P4 (Northwood not Prescott)

RAM = 1 GB DDR

In the USA, ATI's AGP line has more to offer high end than NV's line. You can buy a X850XT for the price of a 6800GT and the 6800U has about dissappeared. NV is releasing a 6800GS in AGP to help fill the gap above the 6600GT. That will be nice and they should be showing up very soon.

I can't help you find a card in Europe. The GTO is not yet available in AGP AFAIK, although you may find a plain X800 still. I'd look for a AIW X800XT, an X800XL or X800 pro as they are all single slot. The 6800GT is also a good option. It is about equal to the X800XL, beats the X800 pro, but loses to the X800XT. The X800GTO is lower than a X800 pro, but is a nice card if/when found in AGP and priced right.

My order(single slot AGP):
ALL IN Wonder X800XT
X800XL/ 6800GT/ 6800GS(coming soon)
X800 pro
X800GTO (supposedly coming soon)
GF6600GT
