Im looking at getting a HDTV card for by computer and iv read that a special aerial is required? My house is currently fitted with a really high standard arial and it picks up all the stations 100% - would that work with HDTV signals? and if the cards have onboard MPEG encoder/decoder could I record tv on my older P3 system (P3/Celeron Tualatin 1.1a @ 1.46, 512mb PC133, 5400rpm hdds) properly at sufficent fps?

Yes that aerial would work.

sweet, what bout encoding performance with a Tualatin Celeron (256k) @ 1466/133?

Generarlly anything over 1000mhz will do fine.

Wow, the Tualatin Celeron 1100 at 1466 is a sweet settup for low power, low cost, high performance, low price. A great way to re-use old motherboards, and far superior to the Celeron 1400. Heck, it beats out a whole mess of P4's too.

My tualatin system sounded totally oppisite to that for a while - had 3x256mb PC133 sticks (2xdouble sided and 1xsingle, dam via board) that totally slow'd down the system (and even showed up the xp pre loading screen), it overheated because of a case that had one lousy intake and only a psu as an out take (and barly any at that) but with some normal (decent or "normal" ) cooling, now its great.

BTW dunno if this is a good batch but that overclock is without any added vcore on stock cooling and its one of the originals with the 1.475v so the board prolly overvolts to begin with.
