Clients for Microsoft Networks

I am actually writing this on behalf of a friend because he is unable to
connect to the internet. He has accidently uninstalled the Clients for
Microsoft Networks and needs to know he is able to get installed again. Your
help, as always, is appreciated. Thank you.

Re-install it by going through the Network applet.
And, BTW, what operating system?
