I'd love to get an LCD to replace that big bulky CRT I have, but I'm a little apprehensive. I'd like to play games on my system (AMD XP1900+, 512DDR RAM, Radeon8500, two 60GB7200rpm RAID-0!! just got it!) and i'm wondering if the quality is really that bad on LCDs.

I've heard that the KDS RAD5 has a good response rate, little ghosting.

Is there a big difference between digital and analog? I have a DVI output on my radeon. If digital is the way to go, are there any 15" digital panels out there?

thanks !!

The KDS Rad5 is ok, just that there is better. The TFT5030 by compaq is better, and in Digital is the best there is.

here are the options for dual input LCDs....ofcourse if u've got a DVI output..definetely get a digital one:
1-Compaq TFT5030
2-Eizo L365 or L375
3-Viewsonic VX500
4-Samsung Syncmaster 150T
5-Sony SDM-M51D
6-NEC MultiSync LCD1525X or 1550X

Compaq carries the highest price tag...but in digital...it's the sweetest...

The VX500 no one knows aboutl, so count that out, and the Sony just isn't up to spec. The L375 is teh more expensive + same version of L365, but teh L365 seems to have probs w/ video 25+FPS.

Actually, if u get a student discount, the TFT5030 isn't very expensive.
