For my first post I choose something as mundane as KVM switches. However, I've found that the Microsoft Elite Wireless Keyboard (either ergo or not) does not like to play well with KVM switches.
I've tried two dual channel switches - LINKSKEY and an IOGEAR
With the Microsoft Elite Wireless Keyboard and Mouse combo, I have several problems.
Several of the function keys on the keyboard don't work (scroll wheel, my docs, etc.). I'm not too concerned about this, but it would be nice if they would work.
However, the big problem (which makes the keyboard unusable) is when typing the cursor will intermittently move to the left.
For example -
I press 'abc' on keyboard. On screen I will see 'bca' b/c the cursor moved to the left of the a after typing the a.
Sometimes the cursor will scroll to the left. The only way to stop this is to touch the scroll wheel on the keyboard.
I've checked out several of the MS setting for intellitype - no luck. I've used the keyboard driver program - no luck.
Anyone have any luck using these keyboards with another KVM switch.
