When copying data from the NT 4.0 server to a workstation, the data transfers
very quickly. When copying the same data from the workstation to the
server, data takes 150 times as long. Any suggestions?

I've seen similar problems like this when the duplex does not match.
Copy files one way works fast, but the other way takes forever.

Check the duplex settings for the NICs on the servers and workstations, try
setting them both to the same value (ie. 100/full, not Auto).
If you have access to the network switches, see what they are actually
negotiating to.
This might be your problem.

Are you on a WAN? That could be the A in ADSL.
