Certainly it can be done. Go to Window mode, open whichever views you wish
to use, right click on the window and select undock window. Drag it to the
screen you choose.
Also, you may right click on the desktop and select Properties, go to
Settings and set the screen size to say, 3072 X 768 or even larger. This
should stretch the view across all three screens. You will need to select a
similar screen size within FS9. There are numerous other ways of using
three screens. You will have a lot of fun experimenting!
With a program such as MaxiVista, you can add a fourth screen - a laptop.

as long as you see the desktop or use "small" graphic performance
requesting applications.. no flight sim. Not in fullscreen,
and altough in windowed mode it should work, it doesn't
anyway due to the large amount of data needed to be trasferred
for a flight simulator view.

I don't quite understand JF? Plenty of us in this newsgroup are using three
to four screens, in full screen too and getting 25/ 30 fps with fairly
modest computers. Please explain what you mean?
I wouldn't suggest what I did if it wasn't possible.

It works ok if you have a Matrox vid card.I have plugged in 2 monitors
to my 6800GT card and it works fine. The only trouble is,that when you
maximise the sim,the join in the monitors is exactly where you want to
look.Added a 2nd PCI card and monitor, which let me put FSNav up on a
third screen, but as soon as I try to drag the sim onto the 3rd
monitor,it just grinds to a halt.I have tried the same using 2 puters
and Maxivista, ands this seems to work better but then there seems to a
limitation within the sim itself as the window will stretch across but
the image itself wont refresh on the 3rd monitor. Its like the textures
wont stretch across the screen, they stay at the same size and the extra
screen space is just black
This is a work in progress, but Im fast running out of ideas (other than
buy a Matrox card but Ive just blown all my cash) Have mucked about
with wideview a bit but this wont give a virtual cockpit across the 3
screens,just a fixed view.
I think JF Sebastian is right, the data flow from the sim is just way
too much when you try to split it across 2 vid cards or 2 computers

There must be some older Matrox cards on ebay by now. Mine is ancient by
most standards but still (I think) better than anything else on sale today.
I shall have a look on behalf of this NG.. give me a day or two 'cos BThave
just upgraded my broadband connection to 2.2 Mbps at no extra charge, but it
is having a bit of trouble settling down :-)

Welcome to the club Quilly! Once you have experienced broadband, there
is no turning back. ;-)

Something is nagging me. We hear detailed reviews of the different ATI
or nVidea cards but nothing on the Matrox. Yet there are simmers
perfectly happy with the Matrox. (I think I would be also with such a
wide screen)
How does the Matrox stand up against the ATI and nVidea cards?

I have never seen or used an ATI or an nVidia card so I wouldn't know; but I
have used a Matrox Parhelia 128 for three years now, and I have no
complaints. Everything maxed out, great detailed scenery, three screens, and
around 30 fps, I never felt any urge to upgrade, except to the next Matrox
card when it comes out... :-)
They call me Mr Smug ...
Mind you the card is expensive, but I think well worth it. The forums and
follow up help are top notch too.
