For gaming obviously... Will you OC?

Get the San Diego version of the 4000+ - it's the newest core, overclocks better (if you oc) and is $25 cheaper than the clawhammer at Newegg.

If you're not OCing, get PC3200 and save a few $.

PSU worries me - I'm not sure on the quality. Heard both good and bad. But its so much more wattage than you need (450 is plenty, even with the GTX) that even if it isn't high quality it should cover it.

The rest looks fine.

OC is in the near future. I am debating on the proc and vid card. But the upgrade to both blow budget out of the water. Although it would be nice to have a Nvidia 7800 GTX 512mb card with a FX-57 64 proc. I have a Rosewill 550 w PS it works great and looks awesome. If someone can recommend a PS 500 w under $100 that does not have the name Antec in it please post. RAM wise I am still looking between OCZ, Crucial, and Corsair. Does anyone know if THG has done a RAM comparison recently? Hopefully within the past 2 months would be the best.

I'd get the 512 version of the GTX since the review put it faster than gt's in sli mode, your processor is secondary to your vid card. You can save some cash on the system going with a good processor but not top of the line since the vid card pulls the weight. Get two gigs of ram and a power supply that uses only the cables you want to cut down on clutter and add air flow and at least 500 watts. I use patriot ram but would not recommend them since my first batch was rma, second batch worked fine though. Good luck

All are good for you....All under 100.

now onto the hard stuff.....

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GET A 7800GTX 512. (not that you could find one to buy...lol) its a waste of money....the GTX 256 is good enough for you.

2ndly get the Sandiego 4000+

3rdly if you get that rosewill psu, i will stab you.

4thly if you are going to OC get the 3700+ same chip as the 4000+ save some money.

5thly get a nice cooler for your OC...An SI-120 and a good fan and you are set.

6thly...hi, whats up?

7thly if you are going to OC evetually you could get some different ram...MUCH better for OCing. Crucial ballistix 2GB kit.

8th....have a good one
