Shortcut problem

hi guys,
i have a problem here..
i mistakingly associated shortcuts with rar file i dont know how.
now whenever i open a shortcut it says the file is damaged or unknown format..plzz help..http://img.tomshardware.com/forum/uk/icones/frown.gif

Delete the garbage shortcut make new ones as needed,,,no???...
