Im on a P4 2.6 HT, but im trying to squeeze some more life out of this 2 year old system. Im looking for a mATX mobo socket 478 with 4 DIMM slots AGP and sata, but it needs to be good for overclocking. Im looking at this one

one of the reviews says its good for overclocking. im also installing a new cpu cooler so i can oc it, but im rather new to oc-ing. does anyone know of a better board?

The board your looking at seems fine.

If you want something else i'd suggest you look at the ASUS M-ATX boards.

Yes, nearly anything with an Intel 865 series chipset.

If your going to buy an 865 series board a would highly recommend the MSI 865PE Neo 2 - V or higher....

These boards overclock well and support faster CPU's.

I have a working rig with a P4 socket 478 Prescott 3.0Ghz on an MSI 865 PE neo 2 - V... it runs at 3.78Ghz stable with Corsair memory and is great for all my video work.

Buy MSI you won't regret it !!!

Oh... the overclock is on air cooling.

Wow, I've bought MSI before and sort of regretted it. But then they shipped me some free stuff and I got over it.
