My current setup is:
ASRock ULi (AGP and PCIE)
AMD 64 4000+
2 Gig XMS pc3200
9800 256 AGP pro (bottleneck)
Audidgy 2 Zs

All I play is CounterStrike: Source
Willing to spend up to $300, but would like to spend $200ish.

The 7800GT looks nice, but if i remember correctly on tomshardware the x1600xt (only $180) out performed the 7800gt in the half-life 2 benchmarks. Also the x800GTO2 looks nice because the bios can be unlocked to 16 pipes and it can be OC'ed to x850 speeds. suggestions?

I think that I read an arcticle in PC Gamer about the Radeon X1600 series and they said that for the price its not worth it. I would probably go with the X800GTO and overclock it if you wish to cuz it will last you a much longer time in the longrun....and i believe it is PCI-e
