Hi,
I just got a Seagate 250 GB external and I would like for it to either mount only on my admin account on my PowerMac G5 (sorry, dont get all excited) or to be able to protect the drive with a password.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not totally clear on what exactly you want.

Are you looking for something that will deny access to your hard drive within OSX? If so, there's plenty of applications out there that can do this.

Or...

Are you looking for something that will deny access to your hard drive if someone tries to access it outside OSX? Because this is not possible. The best you can do in this situation is encryption. The other option is a BIOS password- but that won't stop ppl from ripping out your hard drive and stealing info off it.
