Hi everyone,
I have a major issue and I cannot figure out what the problem is. I have one
NT box, 2 Win2k servers, and one 2003 Server. I'm about to start the
migration to active dir. but for some reason when I browse the network from
the NT box I cannot see any of the other computers in the domain. When I
browse from any client computer I cannot see the NT box either, but if I do a
search for the NT box from any PC, I can see it. If I search from the NT box
for any PC on the network I cannot find any computer. I have no idea wht the
problem is, can anyone out there help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
David

Name resolution! What method of name resolution are "You" using on "Your"
network?
IF you are using AD then you must have a Local DNS server, point the NT at
it.
Also what Protocols are you using, are you using NetBIOS?
If you are not using AD then you need to setup either WINS or DNS or Both
for "Your Network". Do not confuse this DNS with your ISPs DNS, they don't
know how your network is setup.
And neither do we.............
