hi...

I'm new here
I'm an old Tomshardware fan but never thought of checking the forums untill now

I wanna ask you experts
I'm not into overclocking right now but
I'm planning to buy a new motherboard, intel probably (safe)

thinking of intel D925XECV2 or intel D945PVS

I'm planning to get the 925, I think it's so hot and satisfies all my fantasy

anyway, I want to make sure that I'm not missing anything else on the PVS or any other motherboard you think I must check...
if you have any suggestion... don't be shy

can't wait to see others taste

Maybe we don't know how to answer... both chipsets are good, but depending on purpose and what CPU you want to put in it, one or the other may be better...

thanx for the reply Fishmahn
I have a simple question

D925XECV2 supports SATA I
D945PVS supports SATA II

I did some searching in Tomshardware's forums
and found some chat about this subject, I just want to make sure one more time.

I'll add some colors to make it clearer

SATA I supports SATA I and SATA II but can only provide 150MB/sec for both.
SATA II supports both SATA I and SATA II but can provide 150MB/sec for SATA I and 300MB/sec for SATA II drives

do I have the correct idea about SATA?? :?
