Buying new hardware, worried about compatibility...

Alright, so as it stands right now, I have an:
Intel motherboard (D865PERL)
Intel processor (2.4B, 533MHz FSB)
Radeon 9800PRO (128MB)

But, for Christmas, I'm shopping on Newegg. I was looking for a good video card, and decided to go with a 7800GT. However, the video card is PCI-E, so I had to upgrade my motherboard as well. Luckily, the 7800GT comes with a free PCI-E/SLI motherboard. Unfortunately the motherboard would have been incompatible with my current processor. The motherboard that comes wit hthe 7800GT is an AMD 939. So, I added a processor on to the list. Now the only thing I'm worried about is that, if I get all of this, switch out the motherboard, video card, and processor, and attempt to turn it back on, will it work? Or are there additional steps I have to take before switching from Intel to AMD?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Edit: here are the links to the things I'll be getting. If you see any errors already, let me know please!

AMD Athlon 64 3200+

eVGA Geforce 7800GT PCI-E

and the motherboard that comes with it:

eVGA 133-K8-NF41 ATX AMD

Nah there shouldnt be any problems switching, just keep in mind those 7800s take alot of power so a nice 450-500w power supply would be nice.

Splendid
What ram are you using? The new board will work with whatever you have, but will perform best if it is DDR400/PC3200, in dual or matched pairs.
Once the system is built, you will have to either repair install, or re-install your OS.
Looks like you will get some real bang for your buck.

You will want to reformat your HDD....but thats easily done

Yout dont need a 450-500W psu for this....a good brand 400W one will do just fine. You wont draw more then 280W maxed out, but having a 400W will mean your psu isn't running at 100% at all times, so it runs cooler temps, quieter, and more solid machine. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104954 This is PERFECT for you...450W and great brand solid rails. Exactly what you need without speding $150.
