I've built a few computers, but not in the last 5-6 years, so I've been out of it for awhile. I want to build a inexspensive box, mostly for surfing, WP, and I want to transfes VHS tapes and then burn to DVD's. I planned on using a Semepron 2600, and 512 RAM. I've heard this board will not recognize the AMD chip unless the BIOS in upgraded, something I've never done.

I want to use this board 760GX-M because it's has all onboard everything and it's inexspensive. Can anyone passon some info, good and bad when using this board.
