6600gt 256mb vs. 6800gs vs ati x1600xt

i'm building a new machine using pci-e for video and i'm trying to decide between a g6600gt (one of the 256mb ones) a g6800gs or the ati x1600xt. they all are around the same price (right at/under $200). I can't seem to find any solid comparisons for these cards as all are newer models. anybody have any advice?

The 6800GS performs almost exactly the same as a 6800GT, so I'd forget the 6600GT.

Here's A review between x1600xt and 6800GS. A quick look shows That the 6800GS seems to be the choice there. The x1600 managed similar performance in some titles, but the majority of the time the 6800GS beats it. Kicks it's ass in some games.

And the most telling thing of all is that I am probably going to get a 6800GS soon myself :mrgreen:

If all are the same price, the 6800GS has to be the choice.

Is the X1600 even available yet?

I guess it doesn't matter. The 6800GS is the best of the 3.

I've seen it on some websites I buy from, but it's always out of stock...

Then again, I might be thinking about the pro, not the xt... :S

Depends on how much money you want to spend. For some brands, the 6800GS is much better, but cost a bit more. the 6800GS is the best choice, but shell out that extra $20-40 for the faster versions.
