Help - Keeping Hard Drive Cool

Help! My hard drive is running hot and it is causing my system to be unstable. I have a 300 GB Maxtor SATA II hard drive. One 120mm exhaust fan, one 80mm intake fan blowing right on it, and an 80mm case fan. Would a hard drive cooler help me out?

:?: :?: I have never heard of a hard drive with a fan cooling it to run so hot as to cause errors. :? :?

Ive seen drives run hot for a while and then just up & die.

my rule of thumb: if the drive is too hot to comfortabley hold, it needs cooling.
