I played a nero slideshow CD on an NT4 Server and now all the fonts except
two are gone. The fonts that are there are very, very small and hard to
read. Explorer shows the Fonts directory to be empty, but when I looked at
it from another PC on the network, it showed all of them there. How can I
get the NT4 to see these fornts?

Be sure that the fonts are in the \Winnt\Fonts folder. If
so, then try this: (a) Open Fonts in Control Panel; in all
probability, no fonts other than the 2 mentioned will be in
the list. Next, (b) do an install new fonts, pointing to the
\Winnt\Fonts folder as the source of the "new" fonts. Might
work.

The trouble is that explorer does not show any fonts in the fonts folder.
However, when I checked on another computer on the network the fonts folder
was full of fonts. For some reason, WinNT doesn't see the fonts.

Then the fonts are no longer in the \Winnt\Fonts folder.
Re-install them by repairing the NT installation or by
mapping the computer out to another computer and do an
"install new fonts". Not sure what you are seeing from
the other computer.

Don't ask me why, but fonts often have the hidden attribute set.
It is quite possible that one machine has Explorer configured
to show hidden files and the other doesn't.

Another similar possibility is that it is a permissions issue:
how and where you log on determines what you are allowed to see
and use.
